Performing Male Genitourinary Assessment
As a part of this Male Genitourinary Assessment procedure, the learner will begin by confirming the identity of the patient and enquiring about any known allergies, followed by enquiring into the complaints being experienced by the patient. The learner will educate the patient on the procedure, obtain consent and proceed to inspect the patient’s genitourinary, sexual and rectal function. This will be followed by an examination of the scrotum and testicle assessment using clinically approved methodology. All necessary affordances are provided to complete the procedure with efficiency.
